Westerville Woman Who Injected Man With Heroin Is Indicted For Involuntary Manslaughter

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Emily N. Thacker, age 25, for one count Involuntary Manslaughter (F-1), two counts Corrupting Another With Drugs (F-2), and two counts Trafficking in Heroin (F-5), for a total of five counts, in connection to the March 25, 2012 drug related death of Russell Ronske, age 37. It is alleged that the defendant injected Ronske with heroin, which resulted in his death. It is also alleged that the defendant injected Ronske’s girlfriend, Heather Harms, age 33, with heroin , which nearly caused her death. If convicted on all charges, Thacker faces in excess of twenty-five years incarceration. Thacker will be arraigned on Thursday, July 7th at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
