WOMAN INDICTED FOR THE ATTACK AND ROBBERY OF 87 YEAR OLD MAN IN HIS HOME

Defendant: Virginia Lee Golden

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Virginia Lee Golden, age 43, for allegedly beating and robbing at gunpoint, an 87 year old man in his south-side home on January 26,  2016.  Golden has been indicted for one count Aggravated Burglary with Specification (F-1), one count Aggravated Robbery with Specification (F-1), one count Robbery with Specification (F-2), one count Robbery with Specification (F-3), and one count Having Weapons While Under Disability (F-3), for a total of five counts.  “If convicted on all charges in this indictment, Golden faces in excess of twenty years incarceration”, O’Brien stated.  Arraignment for Golden is set for Monday, April 4th, 2016, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
