21 YEAR OLD SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE AFTER 18 YEARS IN THE DEATH OF TEENAGER

Defendant: Kiez Dangelo Collins
Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that following a five day jury trial, Kiez Dangelo Collins, age 21, was found guilty on two counts of Murder. The murder occurred on May 26, 2018 when Collins shot and killed DeSean Bonet, age 18, near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and East Deshler Avenue. “Collins fired a total of four shots in the incident with three of the shots striking an unarmed Bonet in his backside as he was running away from Collins,” O’Brien stated. Collins was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 18 years.
