MURDER INDICTMENT FILED AGAINST HUSBAND WHO BEAT HIS WIFE TO DEATH WITH A WOODEN SIDE TABLE

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “Following beating his wife to death with a wooden side table, the defendant called the victim’s daughter and told her that he had killed her mother.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a two count indictment on Henry C. Evans, age 82, in connection to the October 6-7th, 2019 murder of his wife Dorothy Cage, age 85, that occurred inside their home located on Sunbury Road in Columbus.  Evans has been indicted for two counts of Murder.  “After receiving the phone call from her step-father, the victim’s daughter contacted the Columbus Police, officers and medics were dispatched to the scene, and pronounced the victim deceased shortly thereafter,” O’Brien stated.  Arraignment for this case is set for Monday, October 21st, 2019, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 South High Street in downtown Columbus.
