MURDER INDICTMENT FILED ON MAN FOR STABBING DEATH OF VICTIM BEHIND CHINA DYNASTY RESTAURANT IN UPPER ARLINGTON

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “During an altercation outside of the restaurant, this victim was stabbed in the chest and left lying unconscious in a bed of mulch as his assailant fled the scene.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a two count indictment on Jeffrey B. Harrison AKA Frank Michael Drew AKA Jeffrey Smith, age 47, in connection to the June 11th, 2018 murder of Charles Edward Hale McCoy, age 30, that occurred outside behind the China Dynasty Restaurant located at 1689 W. Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington.  Harrison has been indicted for two counts of Murder.  “A witness at the scene saw the suspect leave in a green Ford Expedition following the altercation,” O’Brien further stated.  Officers and medics were dispatched to the scene and found the victim stabbed and unresponsive.  He was transported to the hospital and was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.  Arraignment for this case is set for Monday, July 2nd, 2018, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 South High Street in downtown Columbus.
