TWO FORMER OSU FOOTBALL PLAYERS INDICTED FOR RAPE AND KIDNAPPING

Defendant: Amir I. Riep and Jahsen L. Wint

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted both Amir I. Riep, age 21, and Jahsen L. Wint, age 21, for two counts of Rape (F-1), and one count of Kidnapping (F-1), for a total of three counts each.  On the evening of February 4^th, 2020 the victim visited the defendants apartment and watched a movie.  Later in the evening, the indictment charges that the victim was restrained by both defendants and forced to have non-consensual vaginal and oral sex.  “If convicted on these charges, both men face a maximum consecutive term of 33 years of incarceration as well as registration as sex offenders,” O’Brien stated.  Arraignment for Riep and Wint is scheduled for Friday, March 6^th at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2A at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
