Grand Jury Declines to Indict in 2025 Officer-Involved Shooting

A Franklin County Grand Jury completed its review of the October 8, 2025, fatal shooting of Dominique Byrdsong by on-duty Grove City Police Officers. The Grand Jury voted not to issue an indictment. Therefore, no charges have been filed with the Clerk of Courts related to this incident.

Man Pleads Guilty to Charges Related to the Shooting of Officers

Daveonte Dixon pled guilty to six charges, all felonies of the first degree, and related specifications. The charges arose from a May 28, 2025 shooting of two Mifflin Township police officers and a May 30, 2025 shooting at four Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies.
