TWENTY-THREE YEAR OLD INDICTED FOR MURDERING HIS GIRLFRIEND AND UNBORN BABY

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Jacob T. Ferrero, age 23, for one count Aggravated Murder (unclassified), two counts Murder (unclassified), one count Aggravated Arson, (F-1), one count Aggravated Arson (F-2), one count Tampering with Evidence (F-3), and one count Gross Abuse of a Corpse (F-5), for a total of seven counts, in connection to the October 8, 2014 death of his pregnant girlfriend Samantha Darlene Greenlee, age 22, that occurred inside their apartment located at 5169 Brambury Circle in Columbus. The indictment alleges that two days after Ferrero murdered Samantha and her unborn baby, he set their apartment on fire. Her body was discovered after it had been buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area in the 3500 block of Bixby Road near Madison Christian church and school. O’Brien stated, “if convicted, Ferrero faces a potential life sentence.” Ferrero will be arraigned on Monday, November 3rd at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
