Man Pleads Guilty to Charges Related to the Shooting of Officers

Daveonte Dixon pled guilty to six charges, all felonies of the first degree, and related specifications. The charges arose from a May 28, 2025 shooting of two Mifflin Township police officers and a May 30, 2025 shooting at four Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Maryland man pleads guilty to charges in 2021 double murder

On April 21, Daniel Newsome, 32, pled guilty to two counts of murder related to two 2021 stabbings in the Worthington neighborhood. The sentences will run concurrent to each other and concurrent to a case he has in the state of Maryland.
